Setting Up Your Account¶
Introduction¶
Welcome to Sourcery!
To start reviewing, maintaining, and improving your code with Sourcery you'll need to set up an account.
GitHub or GitLab Based Accounts¶
You can sign up with your GitHub or GitLab account.
If you want to use Sourcery to review code in your GitHub or GitLab repos (either your individual or organizations' repos) you will have to set up a Sourcery account with your GitHub or GitLab account.
For setting up Sourcery for self hosted GitHub or GitLab repos please follow our detailed integration guide.
Email or Google Based Accounts¶
You can also create a Sourcery account with either your Google account or using an email address and password.
If you set up an account with your email address or Google account it will not be restricted to Sourcery functionality in your IDE, not in your GitHub or GitLab repos.
Merging Accounts¶
Unfortunately we are unable to merge together a GitHub/GitLab based account and an email/Google based account.
If you would like to switch from one type of account to the other, please reach out to support@sourcery.ai
Sourcery Trial¶
When you sign up for a Sourcery account you get a 2 week free trial to test out Sourcery on any private project. At the end of that trial you can choose to upgrade to continue using our Pro or Team plan or you can continue to use Sourcery for free on open source projects after your trial ends.
